Battle Round 1 – Drukhari

Wracks, Talos and Grots advance!

Magnus loses four wounds to disintegrator cannon fire but otherwise no problem. One Victory Point for Kingslayer and Hold one for Kenny.

Battle Round 1 – Thousand Sons & Tzeentch Daemons

Repositioning complete after Dark Matter Crystal.

It’s a bloodbath! Magnus and the Tzaangors charge into the Grots, who were Death Hexed in the psychic phase and weakened by the Scorpius’ persistent bombardments. The Grots and Wracks run from Casualty and Urien is slain by a well placed Doombolt. Thousand Sons have the lead 10-2.

Battle Round 2 – Drukhari

Raider drops Drazaar!!!!

Splinter rifles finish off Magnus, after the Ravagers soften him up!

Incubi and Drazaar charge the Helldrake who puts four wounds on Drazaar. Daemon Prince heroically intervenes.

Daemon Prince slays five Incubi. Helldrake is down to two wounds remaining.

Talos take down seven Tzaangors.

Helturkey takes down Drazaar!!!

End of Round 2: Talos finish off the Tzaangors. But the DP takes the Cronos down and Ahriman’s bolt pistol takes down the Raider.

Thousand Sons still in the lead 15-9.

Battle Round 3

Score is 17-12 at the end of Turn 3. Daemon Prince runs from the last Talos with one wound left.

Battle Round 4

Drukhari move the Ravagers up to get some shots off on the wounded Helldrake which has retreated  to the far corner of the board with three wounds left. They squeak one Disintegrator through on him. Weaver of fates kept him alive! The lone Talos with two wounds left attempts to charge Ahriman and fails epically! He did not declare a multicharge and as such is stuck in the open with his ass in the wind. Wracks charge the brimstones who hold to a single man (brimstone). Drukhari hold three objectives to Thousand Sons’ one. TS, go go warlord DP who tries to take out a Ravager but dies to overwatch!! I kill the lonely Talos and regen the Helldrake by one wound. 20-18 Thousand Sons lead getting smaller.

Battle Round 5

Drukhari, mop up the brimstones with Wracks and continue to advance into Thousand Sons deployment zone. They overtake the Changecaster’s position and put him down. They also finally finish off the pesky Helldrake. Three Ravagers, even though one is damaged from Scorpius fire, unload into non warlord Daemon Prince and disintegrate him. Dark Eldar get full points on kill and hold again.

Thousand Sons: It’s Ahriman, the Changeling, Scorpius, Rubrics and some Brimstone Horrors left. We finish off the damaged Ravager and charge the remaining Brims and Rubrics into the Wracks to slow down their advance.

End of round score is 23-25. Drukhari take the lead!

Battle Round 6

Dark Eldar advance two Ravagers, Archon and Kabalite Warriors into a nearby objective to ensure they hold it. Then proceed to clean up the remaining Brimstones. The Wrack/Rubric/Brim combat ensues and all remaining brims are killed. All secondaries are maxed out for Drukhari. They extend their lead to 28-23.

Need five points here. Still missing the final two on Old School. Got to either kill or hold more. Dark Eldar currently hold three, so best I can do is draw even. Need to kill more. Scorpius wipes a Ravager off the face of the planet and wounds another. Ahriman and the Changeling suicide charge the Kabalite Warrior and Archon on the nearby objective. They survive the Overwatch and pile in. Changeling goes first and adopts the character of an Archon. Swinging in with the Huskblade he causes three wounds on the Archon. Archon’s first Shadowfield save is a one! He proceeds to deal three damage with the Huskblade but the Archon survives. Ahriman up now, he puts four attacks into the Archon with the Black Staff and one Staff and one Disk into the Kabalite Warrior. Ahriman slays both in a whirlwind of movement from his staff. After the kills, he consolidates across the line into enemy deployment netting me the final two points on Old School! Thousand Sons killed three units to DE two. Ahriman and the Changeling also now hold the objective which was previously contested by the Ravagers, Archon and Kabalite Warrior. We hold the same objectives! Thousand Sons kill more, to net three primary points plus the two from Old School for the five needed to draw the game!

Tie game at the end 28-28!!! What a blood bath. Ahriman comes in an kills the Archon and a unit of warriors to tie it up! Dark Eldar were creeping away with the game.
